"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse, therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may." Deut. 30:9
Today, we’re reminded that every decision can lead us closer to God or away from Him. As God urges, choosing the Choose Life path.
The Challenge of Choosing God’s Path
God’s path, though rarely easy, is the one that leads to true life. It requires us to make conscious decisions to follow Him, even when more accessible options are available.
The Broad vs. Narrow Path
The Bible warns us of the broad paths that lead to destruction. These paths are appealing because they demand less of us, allowing us to follow our immediate desires and feelings. In contrast, while more challenging, the narrow path leads to life and fulfillment in God.
Choose Life
Choosing the right path often requires us to push through negativity and challenges. But when we commit to doing our part, God faithfully does His, empowering us to overcome and thrive. By choosing the path offered by God, you are choosing life.
Jesus exemplified the ultimate sacrifice by enduring the cross for our sake. His journey was not easy, but it was necessary for our salvation. Inspired by His example, we are called to embrace our own crosses, making the right choices even when difficult.
Filling Our Spiritual Tank
Regularly studying God’s Word equips us with the spiritual strength to face challenges. It’s crucial not to wait for crises to turn to God but to consistently seek Him, filling our hearts and minds with His truth.
Choosing Our Thoughts
Our minds can wander, be led by fleeting emotions, or be intentionally focused on God’s truth. By choosing our thoughts and managing our feelings, we align ourselves with God’s will, choosing life in every decision.
