The Creed Meaning:

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
We believe in God, the Creator of all things, visible and invisible, and the Almighty Father who sustains and governs the entire universe. His power and love are the foundation of our faith.

And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord;
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, our Lord and Savior, who came to earth to reveal God's love and offer salvation to all. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He is the way to eternal life.

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary;
We believe in the miraculous conception of Jesus by the Holy Spirit and His birth from the Virgin Mary. Jesus is both fully God and fully human, sent to live among us as the Savior of the world.

Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell;
We believe in the suffering, death, and burial of Jesus Christ, who took on the punishment for our sins. His descent into hell symbolizes His triumph over sin and death.

The third day He rose again from the dead;
We believe in the resurrection of Jesus on the third day after His death, proving His victory over death and offering the hope of eternal life for all who believe in Him.

He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
We believe that Jesus ascended into heaven, where He now reigns at the right hand of God the Father, interceding on our behalf as our High Priest and King.

From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that Jesus will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. His second coming will bring justice, restoration, and the fulfillment of God's eternal Kingdom.

I believe in the Holy Spirit;
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who dwells within believers, guiding, empowering, and comforting us. The Holy Spirit is God's presence in the world today, working in and through us to fulfill His will.

I believe in a holy catholic Church, the communion of saints;
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, made up of all believers worldwide. We are united in fellowship with fellow Christians, both living and deceased, through the communion of saints.

The forgiveness of sins;
We believe that through Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven, and we are reconciled to God. This forgiveness brings us peace and restores our relationship with our Creator.

The resurrection of the body;
We believe that all believers will be resurrected, and our physical bodies will be transformed in the image of Christ. We have the promise of eternal life with God.

And the life everlasting.
We believe in eternal life—life with God forever in a perfect, restored world where there is no more suffering or pain. This is the ultimate hope for every believer.

AMEN.

Why This Belief is Central to Our Faith

The Apostles' Creed is not just a set of doctrines to be recited; it is the foundation of our Christian identity. This Creed expresses the central truths that define who we are as believers in Christ. It shapes our worship, guides our daily lives, and unites us as one Church.

  • A Shared Faith: The Creed reminds us that, despite our differences, we are one in Christ. These beliefs unite us across cultures, generations, and nations, forming the body of Christ—the Church.
  • A Living Faith: As we profess these beliefs, we are called to live them out—loving others as Christ loved us, serving our communities, and growing in our relationship with God.
  • A Hopeful Faith: The Creed points us to the ultimate hope of resurrection and eternal life with God. It reminds us that, no matter the trials we face, we have the assurance of a future with God.

In C.C.A.P we embrace this Creed as our guiding light. It is the heart of our community, our mission, and our calling to serve God and others in love and faith.
